Buying, making expensive purchases, storing and treasuring them without wearing them seem to the problem with ladies all over the world. That why we men  invented and discovered something known as the jewelry box, something that gave us a great relief from all those jewelry hanging and lying down our cupboards and safes. What say?

Usually people, its ladies we are talking about that have them for storing their necklaces, anklets and earrings. This not only gives us relief and sigh from all those ornaments that are lying here and there but also helps our ladies to get their ornaments at the right time and place.

But besides their storage and preservation that these jewelry boxes provide for, it’s their looks and design that important too. Imagine you keep your necklace or your ring in an old crappy looking jewelry box, no doubt it would not lower the cost of your necklace but shows how careless you are in storing them after you wear them!

So that what add on to its importance too, it’s just not meant to store and preserve those lovely ornament neatly designed and crafted but enhance its beauty too. So this is a must for all those who have a desire and liking for those who just can resist buying and making those expensive purchases, but don’t have any place to store it.

We would usually look down upon these boxes as mere storage boxes but one would be quite shock if they were told that these boxes were considered to be the class of status and symbol till the late ’50s and ‘60s. One of the main reasons for such hype and fame was because these jewelry boxes were made according to each ones tastes and preferences. One could even order them by the local goldsmith for an custom made jewelry box.

The modern ones are quite simple and affordable, unlike those during that were available during early times and those jewelry boxes were twice or thrice as costly as compared to those of now. Moreover you also need to show that you really have got a large collection of jewelry, so as to make and order a customer made jewelry box.

There were some jewelry boxes that were made to play some tunes and music as soon as one would open them. Such jewelry boxes were known as musical ones and came even pricey as compared to its usual counterparts that were made at that time.
