In Asian countries particularly in India Nose pin is considered to be a very famous jewelry according to Indian culture. It increases beauty of women. In Indian countries particularly in India, a nose pin is considered to be a very important piece of jewelry. In Indian culture, wearing a nose pin increases a woman’s beauty.
Nose pins are available in various styles, with and without stones, some with enamel, some with precious and semi-precious stones including primarily pearls, diamonds, rubies and sapphires. The nose pins are particularly made in two main styles i.e. the screw type and the wire type, the difference is mainly because of the way they are worn.
Wire style nose pins: Someone who has recently pierced the nose, for them wearing a wire style nose pins may be fairly easier as it is thinner and it comprises a wire with the stone or decoration on the top surface. The wire is also malleable so that it can be easily turned and twisted without breaking. The wire is inserted in the pierced hole and then it is turned to a comfortable position from trill of the nose so as not to poke or hurt the inside of the nose.
Screw style or Push style nose pins: The difference between screw style and push style is minor, the push style as the name suggests is simply pushed on the back of the stem. It is also much easier to wear. The main disadvantage of these pins is that the back may be lost as it is just seized by friction which is not happened in case of screw style nose pins as these have to be screwed tightly.
The procedure to wear screw style nose pins is extremely simple. It comprises two parts, a tiny stem around 1-1.5mm thick, which is inserted in the pierced hole inside the nose. Whereas the second part is a screw which is tightened from within the noses trill. The screw section is long enough; therefore it is easier to hold it between the thumb and finger, while trying to screw it on the stem.
It is also important to note that nose pins are the only items, which are not permissible to be returned or exchanged because of many health issues related to it.
